I’m Erin, a Texas-born writer and director based in the Hudson Valley.

Most recently, I wrote, directed, and co-produced “Rosalie,” a short thriller about choice and consequence, produced by Ruffled Owl Productions. I co-wrote the five-time award winning film, “American Quartet,” and the film “Sam and Barb’s School for Scandal,” both produced by Filmelodic.

You can read my creative nonfiction in Mom Egg Review and follow my writing-and-parenting blog at The Write Parent.

My novel-in-progress was a finalist in the Writers’ League of Texas 2020 Manuscript Contest. A graduate of NYU Tisch, my background is in theatre performance and writing for the stage and screen.

I’m also a copywriter for MarketSmiths, an on-demand copywriting and content agency based in Brooklyn, NY. We write for companies across industries and specialize in humanizing B2B content.

When not reading or writing, I’m taking care of my two young whippersnappers (a term of endearment), dancing my heart out, and desperately trying to keep my plants alive. Show me a ticket to Ireland or low-Earth orbit and I’ll have my bag packed in an hour (actually, I’m a Virgo, so give me a day).

My ever-expanding list of favorite writers includes: Zadie Smith, Lily King, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, David Bowie, Margaret Atwood, Mary Oliver, Lauren Groff, Sandra Cisneros, Jesmyn Ward, Maggie Shipstead, Elizabeth Strout, Flynn Berry, Todd Field, Greta Gerwig, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Austen, W.B. Yeats, and many more that I’ll remember and add soon.
